- Supports Korean studies or Korea-related research in humanities/social sciences
- For scholars outside Korea conducting field research in Korea
- Approx. 15 fellows selected per year
- Monthly stipend KRW 2.3M (Type A) or 3M (Type B) plus airfare/insurance for eligible
- 1-6 months between Jan-Dec 2027; must secure Korean affiliate scholar

Eligibility
- Scholars outside Korea in Korean studies/humanities/social sciences
- Type A: doctoral candidates post-coursework
- Type B: PhD holders, full-time university faculty or equivalent
- Must have non-Korean citizenship/PR (Koreans eligible only with foreign citizenship/PR)
- Must secure Korean host scholar/institution; research in Korean or English
