About
- Funds two-semester study at a university in China for up to 15 students per year
- Open to all subjects except art and design; serves as an entry point for those with little prior China experience
- Provides monthly stipend up to 855 € plus 300 € study allowance, travel grant, insurance support and tuition coverage
- Includes pre-departure intensive language course, preparation seminar and access to Studienstiftung network
- Requires very good academic record; language skills desired but not mandatory

Eligibility
- Students from 3rd BA semester or 1st MA semester (all fields except art/design)
- Very good academic performance in a broad, intensive course of study
- German citizenship or equivalent formal eligibility for Studienstiftung funding
- Not for post-master study, dual-degree programmes, full Chinese degrees, one-semester stays, internships
